Best Left Magazine

Overview

Best Left Magazine is the result of my Digital Media Minor during my time in undergrad at Rutgers University. Today, it's a thriving small digital publication co-founded by myself and my best friend Olivia Stabile. The publication consists of 22 creatives across the world including writers, designers, photographers, and more. I'm incredibly proud to say that this publication is run entirely in my spare time, by a female led staff, and just a huge passion project gone right. Being able to give back to younger creatives the same experiences I've been gifted coming up is one of the highlights of my life.

Approach

For the publication, I operate as the head of publicity. Alongside my partner Olivia, I manage coverage campaigns to their completion personally arranging opportunities for my team of 22 staff members to take photos, write, and participate in the creative industry on a professional level. I not only arrange the opportunities, but I also can be frequently found with a press pass at shows across the New York Metro area myself producing content for socials and our website. Through the role, I also am responsible for managing our social media, utilizing social media softwares to ensure content is up to date and posted on a timely basis.
